This is a great post. I remember my mom baking homemade bread for Christmas. She would put it in the dishwasher to rise. LOL. (Now we use bread machines).
Well, it is yummy, and it's my one nod to holiday baking. It also makes great toast and French toast on day 2 or 3 after the fresh just-out-of-the-oven sensation wanes.
I've been retired since November, 2008. I've been spending lots of time taking photos, singing, and writing. Currently working on a historical fiction novel.. I highly recommend retirement!
