I threatened to take a photo of my partner with mayonnaise on her lip, but she wasn't having it! Then! the leaves went into the compost pile to make good soil to make more artichokes....ad infinitum!
Mmmm, I'm in love with artichokes. Seriously. I have some seeds to plant for next year. As I understand it, I'll have much longer than that to wait, though. Ugg!
Actually Andi, they grow surprisingly fast. You may not have much "fruit" the first year, but I bet you will the second. Watch for aphids, they love 'em.
