Thank you all -- Margaret, yes I took the photo from Mt. Tabor which is just a mile from where I live; Mt. Hood is about 90 miles to the east. It was a glorious clear day, sunny, very windy and COLD! But I knew it would make for some good mountain shots.
I've been retired since November, 2008. I've been spending lots of time taking photos, singing, and writing. Currently working on a historical fiction novel.. I highly recommend retirement!

Aww, now I'm all nostalgic. When I was a kid, we lived in Oregon and I have memories of seeing Mt Hood way off in the distance.
What a beautiful picture! I fell in love with Mt. Hood when I went to Oregon seven years ago; it's so pretty.
